You should be able to manipulate these equations to answer questions that may ask in a different order; use the triangle method.

  1. Just to clarify, the triangle method shows that the frequency can be worked out using wavespeed/wavelength. Is this true or is the only way to work out the frequency by using 1/time period ?

  3. You can work out frequency using the triangle method shown above only if you have the information of wavelength and wavespeed. Which formula you use to work out frequency depends on the information the question gives you.
